A Little Bit About My Story

A Little Bit About My Story
I'm Keith Eatmon, a native of Buffalo, NY, self-titled as the “Variety Vocalist." I developed an ear for music by listening to records of every genre; my favorites being the Motown and Stax recordings. I learned to sing as a result of listening to records and singing along with many different vocalists of that time. In my mid-20's, having never performed in front of an audience, I was called on stage at an open mic. Aweing the audience, I was invited back every week to sit-in as a guest vocalist for the Taylor Made Jazz band from 1995–1998, led by native Buffalonian musician, Van Taylor.
In 1996, he quit his full-time job as a sales representative to become a full-time touring vocalist with the Department of Defense Overseas Shows, performing for military troops in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Central America. After touring for a few years, I moved to Atlanta, only to find a very different band scene than in Buffalo. After multiple failed attempts to form a band of my own, I joined the horn and rhythm bands Brookwood Split and The 17th Street Horns and became their lead vocalist from 2012–2020.
In early 2020, I became the new frontman of R&B Inc, a band primarily focused on R&B, Soul, and classical popular music. Regardless of age, I say I'm “musically youthful” and want to hear all the music I come across.
